The Abetone
reserves established in 1977 for safeguarding a
well-preserved Apennine ecosystem, especially the
white fir and confer trees dating back centuries.
The entrance to the reserve is free and inside the
reserve, you will find many walk paths also
adaptable to wheel chairs. The less difficult trails
are the ones between Abetone and Le Regine. Do
souvenir or fashion shopping from the numerous small
shops in the town and amongst these, you will find
shops that rent summer and winter equipment.
